2023 has been a year of commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Prince Rainier III and this year the theme of the Monaco Christmas village is “Rainier III, Passionate Prince”. It’s taking place on the Port of Monaco from Thursday 7 December which is the same day as the start of the Principality’s Christmas illuminations. Among the 800 natural fir trees that will decorate the village, there’ll be seven rides including a Ferris wheel, a toboggan run, a Christmas tree merry-go-round as well as three new attractions – flying chairs, a child’s roller coaster and Santa’s sleigh. And there are lots of food delicacies to enjoy as well as stalls selling gifts. The Christmas village runs right through until 7 January. It’s open every day from 11 a.m. to 10pm, but closes on Christmas Eve at 7pm and on New Years Eve at 2am. More details on https://www.mairie.mc/le-village-de-noel
