The Côte d’Azur, famous for its idyllic landscapes, is located in the south of France along the Mediterranean Sea. The Côte d’Azur has a number of advantages that favour tourism. Firstly, its exceptional climate: indeed, the sun is there many days of the year and the temperature is remarkably mild in winter. It also has the simultaneous presence of the sea, the Mediterranean, and the mountains, the Alps. As a result, it welcomes more than 12 million visitors each year, charmed by its 300 days of sunshine per year.
The idyllic setting of the region
With its Mediterranean climate, the Côte d’Azur seems to be the dream destination for French and even foreign holidaymakers. Amongst the must-see places to visit, we find Nice, which is reputed to be the most beautiful city to see, with the Promenade des Anglais as well as the “Vieux-Nice”. We also have Monaco, known thanks to the Monaco family. Indeed, the Rock of Monaco is the old town, home to the princely palace where Prince Albert II lives: visits are also possible from April to October.
What would the Côte d’Azur be without Cannes and the famous Palais des Festivals? Indeed, it is possible, for a few moments, to put yourself in the shoes of the great stars by walking down the steps and the famous red carpet. Have you ever heard of the “Walk of Fame” in Los Angeles? In France, and particularly in Cannes, we have the “Chemin des Etoiles”, where the greatest celebrities have left their footprints on the paving stones, taking their example from Los Angeles.
How can we not mention Saint-Tropez? Every summer, this famous place welcomes celebrities and the international jet set, which makes it the most popular place on the French Riviera in summer.
Fréjus, a godsend for visitors
Are you looking for a flat or a villa on the Côte d’Azur? Fréjus, located in the Var department of the Côte d’Azur, has a beautiful coastline that could satisfy your desires. With its rich cultural and historical heritage, it is classified as a city of Art and History: it is the second city with the most ancient monuments, after the city of Arles. Fréjus has a seaside resort in the south-west of the town, which is called Saint-Aygulf.
Moreover, Fréjus is located in the vicinity of many seaside resorts in the Var, including Sainte-Maxime, Le Plan-de-la-Tour, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Cavalaire-sur-Mer, and the famous town of Saint-Tropez. Indeed, we can find different types of beaches: the fine sand of the beaches of La Baumette or Le Veillat, but also the pebbles and the rich vegetation of the Plage du débarquement, to name but one. A multitude of services is available to make your beach day exceptional, due to the frequentation of the city’s beaches.
Are you a fishing enthusiast? This is the town for you. Indeed, it is famous for its fish, and in particular for its anchovy, which is an emblem. In order to choose the right spot for fishing, we advise you to follow this link with where to fish in Fréjus which gathers all the spots of Fréjus, with the fishing forecasts on 4 days, made in 4 hours.

Discover Fréjus, a beautiful place in the VAR
Want to discover the coastline? We can recommend the coastal path. Indeed, the Var coastline offers you a path to follow over a distance of more than 200 kilometres. If you want to leave from Saint-Raphaël for example, the path starts at the level of Port Santa Lucia, going to the Pointe de la Beaumette, in Agay. It oscillates between the sea and the Massif de l’Estérel, where the waters are sometimes so clear that it is possible to observe the beauty of the seabed. The length of the trail is 8.5 kilometres, which is about 2.5 hours of hiking with beautiful scenery. As it is established on the old customs route, the trail includes some “sporty” passages, so it is advisable to bring suitable shoes.
History and entertainment go hand in hand
Are you a history buff? Having a residence in Fréjus will allow you to learn all the more about the history of the town, which is heavy with Roman heritage. Indeed, Fréjus is the place which has the most Roman vestiges of the South of France: we can thus find there the amphitheatre of Fréju, as well as an aqueduct whose 42 kilometres of length, 481 of unevenness, as well as the 36 arches (which required only 20 years of construction) make of it an exceptional work.
Fréjus also offers many places of entertainment, such as the Aqualand water park, as well as the Luna Park amusement park, which welcomes both children and adults. You will be sure to have a great time with your family or even your friends. This will allow you to relax during these moments and leave room for good humour! The city has a zoo, where it is possible to see various animals.
