WOMEN OF UZBEKISTAN PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

There’s a photo exhibition called Women of Uzbekistan featuring photographs by Monaco based photographer Tania Hughes. This exhibition is about some of the women of Uzbekistan she was fortunate enough to meet when on a trip there. It’s at the Comité National Monegasque de l’Association International des Arts Plastiques auprès de l’Unesco on the 1st floor of 10 Quai Antoine 1er on the port of Monaco and it’s open every day from 9 to 14 February from 1pm to 7pm. ENSEMBLE VOCAL DE CANNES CONCERT

There’s a concert by the Ensemble Vocal de Cannes featuring polyphonic singing from the renaissance to today. It’s at the Eglise Notre-Dame-de-Pins, Avenue Alexandre III in Cannes on Sunday February 11 at 4pm. Entry is 10 euros, free for under 18’s, in aid of the parish.

Villeneuve-Loubet’s annual cinema festival runs until 11th February, offering a dozen films at just €3 per screening. All the selected movies are on the theme of sport and several screenings are in English, including, this Sunday at 2.30pm, the 2017 film Battle of the Sexes, which is loosely based on the 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. The festival is taking place at the Pôle Culturel Auguste Escoffier in Villeneuve Loubet.
